There is more than one location where book files can be installed for use with PocketBible for Windows. Since different Windows systems install to different locations and sometimes users change the location themselves, these instructions will provide a generic installation solution that should work for the majority of PocketBible users.
PocketBible for Windows book files are installed to a “Laridian Books” folder. If you know where your “Laridian Books” folder is located, all you need to do is copy the LBK file you downloaded (using right-click/copy) and paste it (right-click/paste) into the Laridian Books folder. The next time you open PocketBible, the file will be found.
If you don’t know where your Laridian Books folder is located, use these generic instructions:
The default location for the PocketBible installation is at C:\Program Files\Laridian\PocketBible for Windows. Assuming that the default location was used when installing PocketBible, the LBK file can be placed at: C:\Program Files\Laridian\PocketBible for Windows\Laridian Books
1. Locate where you’ve installed PocketBible for Windows
2. Create a subfolder called “Laridian Books” if there isn’t one already in that location.
3. Download (save) the LBK file into the “Laridian Books” folder or, if your file has already been downloaded, just copy it to that folder.
If you are running PocketBible from a USB flash drive ("thumb drive"), the same strategy applies. When you insert the thumb drive, if you find that it’s your “F” drive, then PocketBible is probably installed to F:\ and your books are installed to F:\Laridian Books. Copy the LBK file to F:\Laridian Books.
