Q. Can I get the Personal Promise Bible in Spanish?
A. Not at this time, however, we hope to have it available soon. We are currently working on the personalizations of Reina-Valera 95. Meanwhile, the "Identity in Christ" Scriptures are be available in Spanish for free on the website. Click on the "Free Samples" tab. The web site also includes "Identity in Christ" in German, French, Dutch and Swedish. We hope to add additional languages as translators become available. If you have skills in other languages and would be willing to help, please contact us.
Q. Can I get a couple Bible?
A. The Personal Promise Bible currently includes the spouse's name approximately 150 times in appropriate passages like Ephesians 5:22-33; Colossians 3:18-19; Proverbs 31:10-31, Psalms 128 and several others. Song of Songs (Song of Solomon) is also included in Bibles for married individuals. We have studied making a couple Bible and concluded it does not flow well with the personalizations. We also offer our Personal Pocket Scriptures on marriage called One Flesh. This is 80 pages of selected Scriptures personalized with both the husband and wife's names and focused on topics such as forgiveness, communication and intimacy.
Q. What color choices do I have for the leather?
A. You can choose from black, navy blue, burgundy or white.
Q. Is the Bible text changed in any way?
A. The only "changes" to the text are to put your name in the places where Scripture uses pronouns like: you, us, we, etc. or similar locations and grammatical changes so the name reads correctly.
Q. How can I tell what part of the text has been changed?
A. Anywhere changes occur in the text, including your name, he/she, brother/sister, etc., they are in bold italicized print. Minor grammatical changes are not highlighted.
Q. Scripture tells us in Rev. 22:18: "If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book." (NKJ). Isn't this adding to the scriptures?
A. The Personal Promise Bible does not add to the scriptures but rather clarifies the meaning of the scriptures much the same way that the Amplified Bible clarifies the meaning of the text.
